Concept design for a state-of-the-art laboratory in the Rhine-Neckar region

A current example is the concept design for a modern new laboratory building in a production environment in the Rhine-Neckar region. With an investment framework of over 15 million euros and a building area of more than 2,500 m² on four floors, the project integrates special laboratories, offices and technical areas (building services, HVAC, media distribution, electrical + building automation) under one roof. Over a period of one and a half years, our team developed a concept that offers extensive process and cost optimization and at the same time ensures an energy-optimized indoor climate with heating, cooling, humidification and dehumidification. Particular attention was paid to a prestigious external appearance at the factory entrance and an employee-friendly ambience that includes well-designed work and break areas.

An important focus for us is the precise formulation of usage requirements, which we develop in workshops together with the laboratory users. We mediate between architecture and engineering technology and ensure that processes are optimally mapped and requirements are accurately formulated.
